lag or lag exploit?

im sure some of you have read about the possible lag exploint on the official forums.

ie the one where u see an enemy - hit ya IM LAGGIN !! key - fire some shots at said enemy - hit ya IM NO LONGER LAGGIN !! key - one dead enemy - as PS to hit calcs are all client side.


Anyways several times last night i was killed like this - full health and full armour - dead in what seemed like 1 shot from snipers.

Now i know just how screwed a server Werner is so im sure its prolly just down to real lag - but was just wondering if many others have experienced this?

Just thats it seems to have happend to me more over the last few days.

I noticed this afternoon (after the patch) that some players were warping really badly.... making them impossible to shoot. I hope the new net settings haven't brought this about as PS is my last hope for a relatively cheat free online game.

I was in a squad a little while ago when one of our guys told us he could 'take' a squad solo

the guy hacked a tower door and literally disappeared, then all of a sudden 6-kills pop up

By the time i was in the tower he was already hacking - and even though the kills registered all at once the bodies were strewn across 3 floors...

Having already read this I asked if he was 'using' the new bandwidth settings and got a knowing wink back...

It only took about 30 seconds before the entire squad had opened up fire on this p30n - we've all added complaints against him, fingers crossed he's the first fucktard to get a ban for this behaviour.

Have been on the receiving end of something similar on 2 separate occasions.

actually ive noticed this

got 1 shotted by a sniper when i was in my AA max suit, 500/650 armour, capacitor was up and i had full hp.

Literally, 1 shotted - useually a direct sniper hit would take mabye 100-200 armour off but not ever 1 shot me as a max.

I've been one-shotted a lot today in my MAX suit. I've also been one-shotted by unseen enemies hitting me with something that makes a high-pitched whine.... 1.5 secs and I'm dead!

I can live with that if there's a valid tactic for being able to do this, otherwise I'll just mark PS down as just another cheat-ridden game.

I got killed by someone yesterday who was invisible, not stealthed but properly invisible. He was launching a big missile thing (im shite with the names of non-tr weapons ) which i could see when he shot it. Not even my plasma nade caught him when i hit the ground where one launched no later than 1 second after. Not seen anything like this before so i dont really think it was lag.

I quite often run into people who are COMPLETELY invisible. Not even revealed to DL. It is a bug however but I'm not sure if it's done purposefully or accidentally.

Phoenix? you sure he wasnt stood behind a tree or building or something and was firing it round the corner?

I saw the missile appear in mid air then start moving. Cos i couldn't see who was doing it assumed a stealther so launched loads of plasma nades all around the tree and not one hit. I'd have seen a green haze running about if it did.

Stealthers cant carry rocket launchers .. I think that may be a tad overpowered..

There's an exploit where they can, and do, carry rocket launchers.

That's not the infils its ppl in normal armour using the Invis exploit thingy. Where they dont show on darklight yet are like any normal person. Lethal im sure you can guess

I thought about that but i'm 99.9% sure i hit a plasma nade right where the rocket launched from and i didn't see any green mist like i normally do when i hit stealthers.
