Nope, that is indeed the new Batmobile. There's no pics yet, there due out next week, but will keep eye's open. FYI, the new Batman will be Christian Bale (i think, when i was told i pissed myself laughting almost). We'll see, but the best news is "No Robin, and no bloody neon lights". Finally, back to basics of the first film (which this is going to resemble in style app). Anyway, here's the five main points.
. This is the youngest Batman we've ever seen. "The mission was presenting the psychological growth of Bruce Wayne from a young man into Batman," says director Christopher Nolan.

2. We'll see some different villains. Of course we already know that. Ra's Al Ghul, The Scarecrow, and assorted criminals make up the BEGINS baddies.

3. The emphysis will be on the guy behind the mask. "He is," says Nolan, "the most realistic superhero in that he has no superpowers."

4. This will be the darkest BATMAN since Michael Keaton. "Batman is not a knight in shining armor because of his personal need for revenge," says Bale. "There is a great struggle within him not to enjoy what he does too much."

5. There are no Bat-nipples, no Bat-S&M gear, no goofy Robin in this movie.

That last point makes me so happy....

yeah i heard christian bale was new batman, he is a bit um how shall we say, girly looking tbh but we'll see, keton was definately the best imo and bah @ no bat nipples!!

I like the fact that, although Tim Burton isn't directing, he's was a creative consultant when the scrpt and the artwork and design was being done last year. The new batmobile does look like a ferrari front end right off, but it does have a few interesting features. Remember the batmobile fromt he first film? Sliding panels, machine guns, bombs and all those wonderful toys? There back! Yes the new batmobile will indeed be a wonderous death machine, and as the whole thing is supposed to be before the first film, it's even going to have upgrades as the films progress (yes, there will be more than one film allong this timeline). Plus, there even givign alfred more personallity and brown (not white) hair.

ahhh a prequal that makes all the difference and tbh thank god we wont have to put up with robin (though o'donnal does have tight bunz) and sodding batgirl that was just lame tbh. shame they used up some cool bad guys in lame sequals batman 1 and 2 were great but other 2 (specially the one with clooney that was rancid) sucked, wonder how far the prequal thing can go, batbaby? batovary? we shall see
