Good evening all,
/yawn, been ages since i've made a post on this forum. Nothing has changed by the looks of it.
So, how have ppl been ...
Damn, so much angre and frustration on one internet-spot... even the devil would be scared interfearing
Personally i am not surpriced one single bit in what is happening at this present moment. This just HAD to happen. One doesn't have to be a clairvoyant.
Mind you, i'm waiting,(2days and counting) just like most of you. But, i, on the other hand, don't let it get to me. It's just a Beta phase. I'd rather have them (GO.A.way) get a few hundred K beta testers that will actually do some Beta testing instead of the 800K whiners that will just rush out and play. Testing ain't playing, but try explaining that to some ppl /sigh. I've seen what i wanted to see from the game, i'll be playing it when i get the time.
To be honest, in my oppinion, as things are running now, i think that it is just the way they want it to be. Gradually testing stuff. This is beta. Some enlisted for it with a "guaranteed acces for open beta" purchase. Not one word is mentioned about the duration of the open beta. Correct me if i'm wrong tho. And, if i'm not mistaking, there is not one word that said "you will have one week full acces to the server for beta testing".
Alas, from the fact that their website crashed, GOA will make sure all get what they want. And finally, last but not least... all will be happy again.
IF you recall DAOC, you'll recall that when a new expantion was released the same thing happened to the account pages. They crashed and they used backup pages to prevent the bottlenecks.
Anyway... i sure hope to encounter some old friends and enemies (more likely) in the realm of WAR.
I don't know about other ppl , but when i quitted DAOC a year or two ago... i really missed the gaming experience after pulling the plug. I sure hope that WAR will have something similar in a way.
Cheers all,
and happy F5'ing
