Kurt, i think you should stick to mindless death match games, u are probably refering to the lame mindless, fast paced death match game like Q3 and UT, which is exactly what you have to be to play those games, a brain dead idiot with a itchy trigger finger.

There is a reason why CS is the most popular multiplayer game on the net, because it is easy to pick up, but takes an age to master, and to master it you have to THINK, not rush in rocket launcher blazing, with armour and healh paks to pick up.

CS is about timing, tactics and strategy, and in case you hadnt noticed its 'realistic'(i use this term loosely) which is the reason for its slower, more precise game play.

A mans man game.:upyours:

i have been playing since BETA 1 and ive noticed lately that skill need slightly goes down with each release...now its more like jump up and down till you kill them rather than paying attention to recoil

hahah, CS is realistic?

it's fun, and has good team play aspects(allthough i have to say it's rare to see team play on public servers :(), but realistic it is not.

if u want more realistc damage try AHL. it's not realistc either, but it doesn't clame to be, but the guns do more damage than CS, and the opurtunitys for style are numerous..

CS stays the biggest online game due to it being the biggest online game. makey no sense? well, because it';s so big, online newbies and HL newbies come and play it, hence it has a huge stream of new players. the number of CS players who i see comingonto a tfc servers is amazing. i guess they think they'll give tfc a try, and get really bafled by the concept of acheiving goals rather than trying to kill...

i love explaining about SGs or telling them why not to play O hw (good HWs can play O, but very few HWs are good:rolleyes: ), even better is telling them not to play D scout(again good scouts such as myself play D if we're bored, but a newbie scout gets owned).

cs players who try tfc generally come accross as idiots....

i'm not generalising, alot of CS players are online verterans and proffessional net junkies, but alot more are web newbies.......

oh, btw, "iamtheone", dont u think having names such as that make u look like a newbie?

the number of people who i see with names such as "i kick ass", or "gonna own u" or whatever......try some originallity..

it isn't hard to get an original name, try searching for shockingalberto on gametiger and u wont find anything, it's just a name i took from an anime, i could get about 10 names from that one anime if i wanted that would sound good and seem original.......think about that for a min or 2..

Actually I find Cs and q3/elite force (only DM games I played) to be on par skill wise.

Slightly different approaches, doesnt mean one game is easier and one harder.

As u say ch3tan they require similar amouts of skill.unfortunatly they dont require the SAME skills.i've found this week i stopped playing q2 altogether to play c.s and my game has improved a lot.when i go back to q2 for the savage league soon to start,no doubt i'll be crap(er than normal!)
its a bugger and no mistake....
;)
