kraken info / question

I had noticed your 1fg Kraken raid and was interested in how you were going to attempt it. I assumed you had some kind of cunning plan.
To help you I can link you to my very old thread which was the second (I think) successful Kraken raid on Prydwen. Before the raid I had tried to collect all the data I could find on the raid you may find it vaguely interesting to read it. As it happened on that raid with lots of excellent players and relatively good planning Kraken died in about 2 minutes. We then went on and tried Leviathan but managed to wipe as we got split up and had a lack of pbaoe to deal with the parasites!
Anyway since then there have been a few changes to Kraken/Leviathan. The most important one is that they are no longer affected by the number of players attacking them. Due to the fact that they are only lvl 65-70 it was possible to zerg them very easily and this has been stopped. Kraken/Leviathan were designed to be "epic mobs" and the game designers have put alot of effort into making them hard for all realms to kill but at the same time not forced you get 70+ people like in TG.
In the end I didn't lead that many raids that were successful because this was before cluster and numbers were often hard to get. I managed to kill Kraken will 3 "random" groups a few times and I would expect it would be possible to do it with 2 well designed groups. The main problem with Kraken is his habit of FZ one person and then chasing after them. This generally results in the FZ person dying way out of healing range and people getting split up. If you could figure out a way to stop him using FZ I am sure it would eventually be possible to kill him with 1fg. The other really annoying thing he does is grapple 4 people at once. Its not really a grapple more like a stun and he often goes off chasing down healers while tanks remain grappled.
If I was going to try this again I would use at least 2fg with loads of healers and a skald in each group so you can try and chase down anybody thats FZ away. I also find that it generally helps if everybody stays inside Kraken's lair as much as possible. Maybe if you treat Kraken like the dragon and don't stick, stay in his lair at all times and only heal when near him he might behave a bit better, I am afraid I never got to find out really. Hope this helps.
P.S. I think the best chance you have of farming Kraken/Leviathan is to wait for 1.82 at this point the jacina/charm etc raids will probably die a death because people will only need credit in order to activate the arti. Also people will probably come back from classic. It will then be possible to run a public raid which should easily get the required 3fg+ to easily farm the mobs each week.
