Knife Badge

Any tips? I've only managed two stabbings ever, and I need seven in one map.

I suggest finding some snipers and sneaking around the back of them, easy knife kill Although just running at people stabbing like mad works sometimes too

Just gotta sneak around there back lines and take out the snipers...i originally got it on karkand running around the spawn point knifing people but seem to have lost it now

I only just managed to get the badge for the Pistol.

The only way I'll ever get a knife badge is by coluding with someone on the opposite team at the spawn base....which is cheating btw.

I found the pistol fairly easy...I just went sniper, and spent ten minutes sneaking about the construction site (can't remember the map name) shooting with the silenced pistol.

You could also take the slow route; get 100 knife kills overall and get the badge that way.

I'm having a hard time getting knife, pistol and explosives badges. Last one sounds easy but I repeatedly get 10-12 kills (you need 13) then the round finishes, very annoying.

think there are servers with pistols and knifeonly around.

as for the explosives, piss easy on maps like K damn, just lay c4 charges at bot antrances and lay in wait for some git in tank, gets boring tho

i always find best map for knife kills is sharqui penisula or whatever its called

Went on a server where they use pitols and knives only.Was called "Pistols and knives"(lol).Was a 20/20 server,bit laggy but good if you want to get your knife kills up.

This kind of thing isn't supposed to be allowed on ranked servers.

Because it's open to abuse and skews the stats. Its basically point-farming and takes the challenge out of getting a knife or pistol badge legitimately. Playing pistol-only or whatever on non-ranked servers is fine, each to their own, but ranked, you're just comparing your dodgy stats to legit players.

Personally, I can't understand point-farmers at all; in whatever warped universe they live in that BF2 stats have some kind of kudos, anyone can look at your stats and tell if you're a point-farmer anyway. OK, it might mean you've got rank seniority to get the Commander role and you get weapon unlocks; but most point-farmers don't seem to be interested in playing properly so Commander is irrelevant, and the weapons unlocks are hardly worth the effort most of the time.
