My flatmate just modeled what shes wearing tonight and asked my opinion of it. My first thought was how cold she was going to be, am I getting old?

Been fuck all snow here, a dusting on Thursday night but none since. That's what you get in the tropics of SW London I guess.

Well I can only be about 30 miles away and we've had about 3 inches of snow in NW Surrey :)

We fled the snow by leaving a day early for hols - nice n snow free down here.

Weird how localised snowfall is though - just ten miles south of us on the outskirts of london they had only a fraction of the snow we had - awesome microclimate.

Also was driving accross the hants/dorset border and the snow literally stopped at the border - spooky!

Just had another storm here in Skirtland, a good 6 inches or so. Roads were a nightmare, a 15 minute drive just took me an hour and a half, nothing was gritted or cleared with queues of cars stuck trying to get up small inclines. I also struggled badly with rear wheel drive, anything short of level was tough.

I found the limitations of 4WD and ABS this morning as I slid for about 50 yards down the road out of our estate. which was...interesting.

It cleared up a bit today, a bit of blue sky so I decided I might get some photography done. I hiked up a local high spot which had snow as deep as 12" in places only for the blue sky to disappear and the snow to start again :(

I did manage this quick and dirty panorama converted into B&W since there was fuck all light, poor contrast and very little colour to see. It shows the extent of the coverage where I am.
