Killzone

Just got this through on the PS2 beta trial and had a quick play last night.

Everyone seems to have been fussing over this game at E3, but I found it to be a pretty run of the mill FPS in MP.

Obviously the single player may make it the HALO beater everyone seems to be saying it is, but I'm not sure.

Any thoughts?

Initial screenshots made it look awesome (probably rendered up) but yeah as far as i can see it really doesnt look like anything special. Distinctively average but then i dont usually judge games till i played them.

I saw it in action and the frame rate looked terrible. The graphics didn't look fantastic and the animations were poor aswell.

Halo beater? Lol, I don't think so.

Because Halo is excellent? The single player is so fun, and co-op just makes is so much better. I can´t wait for Halo 2.

Come on, they just rehashed bits of level over and over and over and over again - pretty shoddy level design! I liked the warthog, but other than that the game was entirely mediocre..

Some of the level design in Halo wasn't the best but the basic gameplay was fun, fun, fun !

Played a bit more last night and everything seemed pretty good. Pretty normal weaponary and the frame rate seemed fine, ping was good to, but I have a fast connection so that's probably by the by. It hasn't grabbed me by the balls as it were, but I may give it a purcahse to see if the single player is any good.

Oh and agreed with Halo's later levels. In fact, I don't think I've ever finished it thanks to the poor design making me bored and frustrated
