Don't know about you, but this looks excellent IMO...check out those monsters...especially the red Khorne Daemon at about 1:15, ooooo can't wiat to try this one.

Damn nice looking gfx and ambient effects. But as Fana said, shows nothing about gameply. And the ooooh-aaaah factor only lasts so long.

Warhammer doesn't really attract me though. I'd be more interested if it was based on Warhammer 40K.

Warhammer will attract the stlong roleplay element I suspect, not my personal cup of tea but each to their own. My mate works for the company (in HR admittedly) that are producing the game so I may be able to interogate him for info at some point

I fear that when you attack stuff though some giant dice will roll across the battlefield obliterating the models. And explosions will just be giant cardboard templates.....pwn

Yeah, everyone's bowing down before WOW but I really don't like the very high-fantasy look it's got, too cartoony for me. DAOC is actually quite gritty and low-fantasy in its presentation, which is one of the things that appealed to me about the game when I first tried it.

Ahh yeah I remember now, saw it previewed in PC Gamer. Unfortunately I really suck at RTS games, they just don't do it for me.

Now what they should really be doing is a FPS based on WH40K...god, the missions you could do as a Space Marine...

Space Hulk was an absolute classic... very eerie atmosphere (better than in any other FPS I've played tbh) as you couldn't walk very fast in a terminator suit basically you'd control a squad, each of which you could "possess" aboard an alien-infested abandoned spaceship. You'd have the joy of watching as your squad mates - a little dot on your radar screen - were wiped out by a horde of genestealers, one by one...

i got a skaven army, would love to play a gutter runner or even a plague monk oh well. Wasn't too keen on the re-release of the game tbh.

They could of thrown in a huge number of races, Chaos (warroirs and beastmen), skaven, orcs, goblins, black orcs, dwarves, High/wood/dark elves Humans (from the different empiers/states etc) and on, and on.

Try see that Dawn of War 2004E3 gameplay movie.. Thats the best and most ubber graphics in rts I seen (best of teh best) =)

I quite like the idea of supporting chaos to the extent that whole servers will become 'warped' if the majority of the population supports chaos. You can then go in and try and cleanse it, could be good.
