Or where to find those pesky guards.

Kill tasks are obtained from named guards by using the /whisper task command. Using the /whisper command means you get more cash reward after completion.
No, really you do.

Albion.

Only did this with a scout....

Level, Guardsman, Location

7 Jurgen Guardtower west of Cam, nr dwarf camp.
8, 12, 16 - Sgt Alan - PK Bridge
9, 13, 17 - Sir Quait - Prdwyn Keep
10, 14, 18 - Lady Aelawen - PK Bridge
11, 15, 19 - Cynon - West Downs

Midgard

With a thane & zerker

4 - Digby - Fort Atla
5 - Gaaruun - Galplen
6 - Stenbjorn - Galplen
6 - Kreimhilde - Mularn
7 - Kegnar - Fort Atla
7 - Karl - Tower north of Vasudheim

Now with a Rogue I got a task of Kegnar at level 4, so I believe Rogue should be one level higher than above to use these guards.

Please feel free to add your own guards, with what level you got them at and what your class was.

ps - Sorry Hibbie, no third server and I'm not kill tasking in French.

For an Albion fighter add a level to the above numbers.

Nope.
The task-givers are 100% random for any individual. Not even the same for ppl of the same class.
All the tasks are usually around these areas, because that's where the mobs are for those levels. But the specific task-giver will be different for every single individual char.

The main thing to remeber is that once you have done all the tasks from a guard for your level you cannot return to him/her for 4 levels (It seems to be Four minium but I could be talking complete rubbish).

(Talking Albion Here)
So I tend/ed to do the two at the bridge, then the two at WD then I would need to do either one lvl from the wondering guard or the SW tower on the plains. You could also use the guard at Prydwen but you have to be a bit masochistic unless you have a speed buff.

Actually, once you are high enough level to not be too worried about the aggro from the fillidhs behind West Downs, the guard at Pryd, inside near the healer, can be decent enough. He gave me plenty of tasks which were a run due south to WD, and very often it would be to kill something found quickly behind West Downs (ie over the hill to the north) or fairly close on the plains. Best ones are the Grove Nymph tasks because they have such a broad range of levels (weakest are the ones furthest West ;)

you should check up on this I've been running killtasks the same time as another equal level warden we were both running too and from magmell I asked him who his tasker was and was same as mine, then when we levelled, I checked too see who his killtasker was and it was same as mine...

Suppose it could have been a coincidence...

Hibbie KT's

Connla (Sentinel Glynis)
Levels - 2, 6, 10, 14, 18

Mag Mell (Sentinel Maitias)
Levels - 3, 7, 11, 15, 19

Mag Mell (Meara)
Levels - 4, 8, 12, 16

Ardee (Sentinel Moya)
Levels - 1, 5, 9, 13, 17

Tir na mBeo (Sentinal Andraste)
Levels - 2, 6, 10, 14, 18

These are true regardless of class.
Connla + mbeo are same level tasks, you can do those levels in either (or both) towns.

Just to say ive used The McScrooges examples since lvl 10 on my Inf (now 14) and the kill tasks have all worked as per his post. I kinda doubt its coincidence so im gonna keep using it till 20 :)

p.s. I also have told my wizzy friend and hes is having the same results *shrugs* seems to do the trick.

Thx The McScrooges saved me a LOT of runnung about needlessly.

hmm.. if these are true and the KT's aren't random then have anyone from midgard made a list like this? :) Playing a lot with my alts nowadays and I don't bother to run around checking guards all the time

You could probably get a kill task a level one.

You: /s task.

Guard: Oh my god, you're kidding right? Go kill a friggin ant. Jeez here's 20 copper and the lint from my pocket.

But the effort and shame of trying to find a guard at level 1...

ps - A more extensive list was put up on the Excal Middy forum.

I thought you got 2.5 of a bubble for a killtask whatever your lvl. but then again I thought the killtasks were random ;P

Would just like to post a link to a temporary site I've put up. Since I started playing in beta I've taken note of every kill task I've ever done and compiled these lists, one for each realm.

Used this system with all my characters to great success. Hope this helps.
