Perhaps it remembers common key-presses and then anticipates what you'll type that day. Over time I imagine you could teach your keyboard to excel at games and write essays while you pop down the pub.

I imagine.

Feck me, it needs 35MB of free disk space as well. This proves my theory.

I could have done with that 10 years ago.

Summo, you are onto a winner there, compile a proper business plan and designs, and take it straight to MS!

Or save resources, time and effort, and hoof it down ze pub!

I have MS Internet Pro keyboard - those system specs are for the Intellitype software that integrates into the OS to give handy (read: useless) extra features like being able to remap all the multimedia keys on the keyboard, etc

That's the nature of MS software - the keyboard works fine without the software - but I'm not too sure if the fancy extra multimedia/internet buttons work without it.

On a side note, I love my MS Internet Keyboard Pro.

I've remapped most of the short-cut keys at the top to do handy stuff to save me time, and the ability to control all winamp/media apps from the hotkeys is an awesome time-saver and a great convenience.

Who cares if I have to run an extra bit of software :p

I must admit I always thought the '15 Programmable Buttons!' bit was all a bit of a gimmick. But, when I got my Logitech Internet Deluxe thingmejigger, I actually found them immensely useful. Quite nice just to hit a button to get up the forums or read the mail with Pegasus.

You... use... Pegasus? :eek6:

And yes, the multimedia controls are hugely useful, I can use them to change tracks or whatever whilst I'm playing a game without having to alt+tab, hoping that the game doesn't crash in the process.
