Anyone know what causes this? cuz i know that it sometimes returns back to normal, but i have NO clue whatsoever what triggers/detriggers it.

Any help would be useful.

Thing is, this happens all the time, it aint all that bad, seeing as i know what buttons to press, but when it happens in the middle of a sentence it sometimes comes out very wrong, and changing the mind is an annoyance.

If you havent had this happen to you, then just dont bother answering, but i know for a fact that it has happened to more people than me so i thought id ask if anyone had a solution.

Oh and the really annoying part is that i have to do a full relog to make it go away :( Just quitting to char select screen doesnt cut it.

You probably have more than 1 keyboard layout installed and you're pressing a hotkey that causes it to switch layout, check your keyboard settings.

For XP:
Start - Control Panel - Regional and Language options
Go to the Languages tab, click the Details button under Text services and input languages.

In that dialog, remove any inappropriate layouts and/or disable the hotkeys (Ctrl+shift and Alt+shift):

Click the Key Settings button, select Switch between input languages and click Change key sequence.
Uncheck the two checkboxes (labelled Switch input languages and Switch keyboard layouts)

Press OK a bunch of times to close all dialogs and apply the new settings.

PS: this should have been on the Techie forum :)

if u as said above have 2languange setings installed then just click the blue "languange" icon bottom right on your screen on the start menu.
when you do the 2(or more) languange setups you have on you comp will show. just select the one you dont need and press the remove button.
this will remove the unwanted langauge support and allso remove the blue icon.

ps. atleast its like this in w2k.

For this one, just try mashing the Home/End/Etc keys a couple of times :)

I never claimed that you said it was a bug :)
What I meant is that it was a feature, but imo it shouldn't be enabled by default..

Took me ages before I figured that one out :) was so annoying not being able to relog either, since I couldn't type /quit :D

Just press: Insert, Delete, End, Pg Dn, Pg Up, Home, and it should go away :)

( don't think all the above is necessary, but it works and is easy enough to do :D )
