The way football is these days means contracts are worth nowt, he might have signed till 2012 but he won't be there that long mark my words. He will see his last chance of big pay day coming from a transfer in a couple and will be off, loyalty means nothing to modern players sadly.

He isnt a bad player tbh, I was joking before He is just annoying at times I find - he can pull off some class stuff but doesnt seem to do it week in week out - when he went from Leeds to Milan (was it Milan btw?) I thought he could make a really good go of it, but didnt and seems to be kinda up and down on form ever since.

Was shit there, moved to Leeds and had a cracking few seasons
Leeds went bankcrupt, they flogged him to Spurs on the cheap

I wouldnt say he was awesome for Leeds - he was good but not cracking - he has never scored more than 14 goals in a season and Milan paid 12mil for him..
Like I said I think he has some great tricks and potential but either hasn't had a decent run of games at times to show it, or simply can't keep a high level of play up over the course of a whole season.. Think if he keeps at it at spurs he has a decent chance to fulfil his potential - more so than if he had gone to Everton (no offence Everton fans)
