KD7 Raid Onboard sound problems

I have an Abit Kd7 raid board as stated in the topic...
I enabled the on board sound to use along side my sb live as I cant access the mic port on the live card...

Drivers are installed, the device is picked up and claims to be working yet I can get no output what so ever from it. This includes trying headphones and my amp in it... everything appears to be fine and all the obvious things have been checked (things like it being muted etc...)

Any chance anyone can help me please?

Sill question, but have you selected onboard sound as the prefferred device and told the OS to only use the preffered device?

I think somewhere in the sound properties you specify which one is being used as the primary sound device.

Yeah I've taken care of all the obvious things.

I listed the device as the primary output in the control panel and i didnt get anything in through the mic or out through the speaker port either...

I didnt select to use prefered devices only as I want both to work at the same time... or even just the mic to work on the onboard sound...

I soon gave up and just chopped up the phat audio cable that was blocking the mic port on the sb live so everything is more or less working as I want it now. I'll just disable the on board sound when I dont need it next
