Kazaa probs

Hey guys, ive got the latest version of Kazaa and i was downloading this movie, but ive got XP Pro and when you do a restart by accidentally pressing the restart button the scandisk thing deletes the temp file in the My Shared Folder, so you lose the download. But b4 i had used the Kazaa Preview Extractor and i had an AVI of the download i had so far, is there anyway i can change that into something i can use to resume the download? Cheers guys

Go and buy whatever you were downloading?

I guess if you could find out how Kazaa DLs are structured you could switch it back, try restarting the download again, stripping the avi header, then renaming the avi to whatever the new download is called.

nah it's screwed dude... the kazaa dat files contains hash's based on the files size, bitrate and stuff which it uses to find other sources.... I doubt you'd be able to change it back because you don't have any of that information from a partial file

I dont use Kazaa much coz yeah its shit, but i use that Kazaa Lite...has anyone actually downloaded v2 of it? Each time it downloads for me it says its corrupt or some such shite..

I've got version 2.0.0 the participation hack doesn't work on the others I have to confess I do use it a bit... I haven't really worked out how to get stuff from alt.binaries

s'been working fine for me... apart from the fact their aren't enough sources for anything.... oh and the participation thing sucks.... uploading at 15k/sec downloading at 30k/sec and they put my participation level down? FFS what do they expect like I'm gonna donate my full pipe for upload and download less than I upload to get a good participation level? basically everyone will end up with 0 unless they cheat or don't download.... Then again that's why I stuck with 2.0.0 so said participation level hack still works

I use Imesh....its really unpopular because it is jammed with spyware.....but once you got the crap pulled out of it...I've found it really good....and the multiplexing downloads can be really quick.

to eliminate the spyware go to www.lavasoft.de and download adaware


then go find a copy of the cd_clint.dll crack (I dont remember the link...but you could use imesh to download it....beautiful irony ) and use it to replace the one imesh installed on your puter...and your away...
