Hiya, reckon i am gonna get swg soon, and was wondering what sorta spec would be okay?

I used the char creater on allakhazam, and unless that is wrong i would be a master : ranger, carbineer and scout, with the rest in marksman.

Now, realising that as i dont even have the game yet, i have no idea how this would work, i was wondering if it would be ok? im finding it relativly hard to work out what i wanna be, as a result of there being very few descriptions of what stuff actualy dose around. Also, the abilities that some stuff gets you have no meaning to me..dont suppose anyone knows a site where thats coverd do ya?

Umm, so yeah, oh an also - what dif dose it make being imp/reb etc?

Cheers

I'd wait till your in the game before you make these decisions. There'll be parts of the game that you don't like/find boring. Just get used to the game first and you'll probably fall into what you want to do.

I don't know the difference between rebel and imperial because I haven't got involved in all that yet. :D

speccing like daoc isn't really viable in swg...

I first thought I'd be a master ranger with some rifleman thrown for good measure

I'm now halfway to master scout, working on getting novice rifleman, got 1/4 of the artisan tree, novice entertainer, and medic, with 1/8 of the trees completed

diversification is ace when you start out... if I need to drop skills later, I will do.... especialy since taking aritsan skills doesn't mean my combat skill advancement slow down

take all the basic skills when you start.... they're well worth it

Only problem with diversification is that you will find it hard to be exceptionally good at any one profession, mainly due to you stat migration.

This being said, diversification is really the essence of customisation in the game and therfore essential.
