Just when i'd given up, Caer Sidi liked the look of my comical Jester's hat and gave me an uber Paladin drop.

Anyways, I seem to have noticed a pattern in people's opinions on Sidi Raids.

Don't Win Drop = Crap, long, waste of time and unfair
Win Drop = The best damned thing in game.

I didn't get a bean out of the raid today but I still enjoyed it. Kicked myself when I didn't get the armour.

Yeah I must admit i was rather annoyed at that too.

It didnt seem quite right that you can roll for a mate that aint there but if a guy LDs on the way to the lotto you cant.

oh no wait you can somone else did it later.

givz back old daoc without SC and uberdrops for every gimp
every body was happy and nobody had ubardrops that they couldnt fully use like EVER!
except legion/dragon/prince

So with the magic ability (the heal) is that charged ?? IE you can only use it 3 times or something or can you use it every 20 mins ??

well the days of 1fg farming is more or less over now wich is shite :\
remember farming ellyll sword for 2weeks and i was quite happy when i finnaly got it. now the sword is shite and only 100+ raids pay off. was way more fun in the "old"days. even before DF merchants sucks they give the best neckless in alb(atm) wich makes only rog rings worth faming in this realm.

I agree, SC and DF merchants killed drophunting.
Only thing people look for now is shiny glowy swords to put in their vaults and rings.
Remember when farming stonelords in Dartmoor was actually kinda useful, fun and not just for salvage?

Oh, and back on topic, if I got a BP, I wouldnt be looking for the rest of the set because tbh, the +skill bonuses on them really really suck im afraid. :\
Its just not focused on anything.

Lets see;
vest: +3 slash, +3 two handed
arms: +3 crush, +3 parry
legs: +3 shield, +3 thrust

Though I guess the pally set isnt that bad compared to some other classes armor.

Like sorc with +6 mind magic or Theurgist with +6 earth magic..
Or cleric with +9 enhancements.. bloody useless.

The poor armsmen get:
+3 thrust, +5 parry, +3 two handed, +3 crossbow, +3 slash, +3 shield, +3 polearm, +3 crush.

I think the heal proc doesnt work yet. I dueled a scout 4 times. didnt proc 1 time ^^
(I won Sorcer robe xD, hard compo with all those sorcers)

Say 100 people come on raid.
Say we get 20 drops.

(I would say those are pretty average figures)

1/5 people are going to get a drop, those are pretty decent odds as far as raids go.

We don't have those in Alb.

I say you have a 1/3 chance of getting screwed over by someone more greedy, and those are indeed pretty decent odds.
