Most people think it's a women's sport. hahahaha ! is what I say to that. If you think it's a women's sport i'd like you to come and play ! being a male hockey player I would never play agaisnt women. There too fucking voilent !

The sticks are harder, the balls are harder (about the same size and wieght of a cricket ball.) you can hit it harder, it's more voilent and when you get into a fight you actually hit people and not there helmets doing no damage to em.

non of that padding shit, all you get is shin pads and a gum-guard if you want one.

no padding at all. had to wear shots and t shirts. people would twat the ball as hard as possible. go in goal and its really to scary to stop the ball and if u let it in your team beats you up.

this was only last decade aswell!

the following is the options and reprecusions -

1. no kit - write lines for an hour
2. lieing about no kit - get screamed at by the teacher till his vains pop out. then be forced to run to the cross country track while everyone else plays hockey.
3. dont goto p.e. - never did this one. i assume you get bollocked
4. bring a sick note in starting at year 7 and go all the way to year 11 - u miss the chance to suffer p.e. for 5 years and you get to smile at the teacher in a knowing way. they know your not sick, you know they know your not sick. there is nothing anyone can do about it.

I must say i love playing hockey but when it was on around the olymipics (only time its on tv unless u get up real early and watch on eurosport) i actually found it boring from time to time.....especially the england squad wtf they are crap all they did was throw aerials and hope for the best. (okay they arnt crap and if i could aerial like that ya know i prob would be hey this is the internet i can exagerate )

Best game i saw was in the european cup Holland v Spain, dutch up 3-1 and then lost 4-3 conseded 3 goals in less than 10 mins

Indeed, Womens matches I think are far > imo.

Mens is just boring because most of the time alot of them are shit and rely on one player to score.

I dont mean women for the womens bodies, but mens matches seem to be played to a higher standard at a faster pace than a lot of the womens matches i've seen.
