Just played SW...

...single player of course. Good mix of maps although its obviously a doddle to beat with moronic single player AI. Stand out maps (for me) are The Eagle's Nest (allies fight their way up a mountain, loads of choke points including tunnels - sort of like Monte Cassino but probably harder) and Essen (mix of open country and town fighting). I await our servers with baited breath...

Anyways, no matter, question is - is it worth the price tag EA have slapped on it? In other words, is it worth getting or is it just another typical expansion pack which does little to improve the original other than giving us new toys to play with?

Plus, I want a full review on my desk by the morning!

Its arrived in the warehouse so I have to send it to Baz in the morning to put on the servers (I missed the last post so...well...it was there kind of thing ). Is it worth it? Yes. The maps show a lot more thought than RtR, the weapons are nice (although I can't get the hang of the German guided missile at all) and there's a nice balance to everything, so I don't begrudge £14.99 (yes my own copy is on order). Then again, I'd pay for DC, such is its quality at even 40% complete. I really need to play it multiplayer to get the proper feel for it though; the AI is just too dumb to show how maps will get expoited based on a couple of plays.

I suppose I'm gonna have to buy this game, regardless of whether its any good - especially if there are preview servers of it - else I'll not be able to adminninininninininging them

Think it will be worth the money, just to watch cdr not know how to fly something

I don't think he'll have a problem except for the guided missile the planes were easy, and I suck at flying.
