And i got insanely hungry all of the sudden, wuts that all about. Like, more hungry than i have ever felt before even when smoking weed. I was compelled to do something about it instantly and nothing could stop me.

From one source; "Coffee can cause "stress hunger', but not "real hunger".

Which is logical as very rarely people these days(excluding poverty) feel actual hunger, like "must eat or i die!" hunger.

Also it's possible that the coffee actually works as a supressor to hunger, but as the hunger is still there, the coffee relapse causes the hunger to pop up.

And then there's the classic; some people get hungry and some lose hunger from caffeine.

Also some believe the heat of coffe can cause you to feel hungry, which kind of could make sense.

In short; if it happens again, your body reacts to caffeine by asking for food

Might be that you were hungry, caffeine acts to you as a stimulant to hunger and 4 cups'o'joe kicked it in overdrive

Euhm... isn't caffeine used in medicine to suppress hunger?
afaik caffeine dehydrates you a bit so you should feel thirsty instead

From what i read it's used for that too, but it's different for different peeps.

If someone can find some "reliable"(net afterall) source to say one way or other, would be nice.

Good point.

I don't know anyone who is so thirsty they chain-drink 4 cups of coffee. 2 litres of water will sort you out. Or maybe he's addicted to caffeine. Or did it as a bet. Or didn't have anything else to drink. Or he was trying to get rid of the taste of something he'd just swallowed.
