Did anyone get what happened at the end of Planet of the Apes ???

When Mark Walhberg was on the planet in the first place it was definately NOT Earth. It had TWO moons ffs :/ and when he left it it looked kinda orange but when he landed on Earth (his computer said Earth and it looked like Earth) it was following a history which must have followed on from where he left.

Am I just being thick ?

Wij may be dim as a 20W dead bulb, but he has a point. I can only assume that the events on the Planet of the Apes prompted General Twat to start developing space/time travel after Mark Wahlberg left. Eventually he followed Marky Mark back to Earth and started o piss about with history.

Seems a big jump though, from a fairly primitive culture who are afraid of water, to a time travelling race, all within the General's lifetime. He didn't look any older on the Abe Lincoln statue, either. That said, they do have the (partly) working remains of Mark's spacecraft sitting on the planet. Could give them a heft head-start.

I guess we'll find out in the sequel (which I doubt will be directed by Tim Burton, and will probably not therefore, feature Tim Roth or Helena Bonham Carter)

I bet there are websites dedicated to this sort of stuff.
