Just a new person saying hello, and a couple of easy questions

Brand new to Hibernia, after a break from DAoC.
Just a quick hello everyone, and to ask a few questions.

Would anyone have a link to maps of the Shrowded Isles areas of Hibernia please?

(If there are any with mob levels on that would be ideal, but to be honest anything that helps me from getting lost all the time)

A few tips for an upcoming Valewalker would be appreciated if anyone out there fancies writing a few down.

A silly one....where would I buy the different hats available in game, made me smile seeing a pointy one.

I guess I would be looking for a guild as well, somewhere friendly and a place where I wouldnt be made to feel small.

well first of all, welcome to hibernia!
For good maps of all the areas, check http://daoc.catacombs.com
I´m no valewalker, so can´t help you there
The hats are available in Ardee and Mag Mell, the two towns outside the capital, Tir Na nOg.
About a guild, i´m sure Cher will pop in here and say you have to join EE, but I always suggest you try without a guild first, look around the people you group with often which guild they are in and then join that guild
