"Junior Member" etc

You get labelled "Junior Member" until you've posted 31 messages. Then you get labelled "Member".

However, we can change them and the threshold to something else.
Any suggestions?
"Camper" and "Spammer" ?

I think junior members should be called newbies and members should be l33t-cows

That is my final word

I think they should be changed, but I don't care what to. I just don't like being called a "Junior Member", even if I am one.

Yeah, i dont think the 'number of posts to be upgraded' should be broadcast cause people WILL spam. Just look what happened on the old webboard when ppl were spamming to get into the top10 posters thang.
One things fer certain though, call me anything except a 'junior member', it sounds so so so , so inferior, an insult fer those of us who have been regular on BW for over a year.

Most people have been using bw for a year or more so does it really matter for what is likely to be a week at most for regular posters on here

The best thing has about the board (should that be bored when using it in work?) has to be the lack of piccies other than smilies now.

Actually that's the easiest way to do it.

It'd be alot more work to leave the first 30 saying Junior Member.

But don't worry I will NOT be explaining why

I did my double post by accident though due to thinking it hadn't updated right.

Incidentally isn't it weird the way it updates all your posts to say member once you have posted over 31 and doesn't leave the first 31 showing as junior member posts.

Leave the Junior Member thing in, as Skeeve says within a couple of weeks all the regular posters will be "Members" anyway. And it has the added advantage that when some imbecile creates a new profile just to log on and abuse someone with some crap as often happened on the old board (supermario, etc), they'll get labelled "Junior Member". So all us big bad "Members" can point and laugh and dance around. In fact, because of this, I suggest renaming "Junior Member" to something derogatory like "pe0n" or "Pleb" or "Amoebic Member" even. Or... maybe we could be upgraded to "Membah" after 31 posts. Yeah. That would be "l33t". (Christ I'm bored)

I think junior member could be used as a derogatory term without being too nasty to genuine newbies.

I dont understand. Why would we not want to be nasty to genuine newbies?

Um, righty-o then. I wanna be a moderator. that sounds class. Much better than a member or a (god forbid) 'junior member'.

Ho-hum. At this rate I'll be a member any moment next week.

Oooh it's just like Elite..

"junior member", "member", "Senior member", "mouthy git", "MrB", "Deadly", etc

"Mostly Harmless."

Continuing it being like Elite, your elite rank of Mostly Harmless is rather pathetic (Think it was Frontier rather than Elite tho. Can't remember)

Does anyone know the full list of the elite levels .

I can remember:
Harmless, Mostly Harmless, Average, Above Average, Dangerous, Deadly, Elite

But I'm sure there were a couple more.

Junior Member being someone who might infact have a life and no need to spam 31 bleets to this board.

Does it really matter what ranking, or whatever you have?

As this is my first post to this great new board I gues it makes me a "pe0n" or "Pleb" or "Amoebic Member"...and that hurts me so deeply.

Get a grip

Katana
