At the moment he is my favourite author (from a purely 'I want to be a writer and write like him' standpoint).
I thought the dubliners was amazing and is definately my favourite book of all time. I tried to read portriate of an artist but stopped coz it got too 'hard'.
Genious IMHO
Also got ulysees (sp) but since dedalus is in it I'd prefer to finish portrait of an artist (even though its not supposed to be a sequal or anything like that - So I've been told ).

Trust me, read the dubliners. Its just as good as the other books but you don't get 'bogged down' like you (or at least I) tend to in the other books.
