Jox - what is that sword

Jox,

What is that flaming sword you carry around in the BG? It can't be anywhere near your level. The reason I ask is that you're melee damage output is much more than I would have expected a level 35 Shadowblade to do. It's certainly alot more than mine.

Oh yeah - and when I catch you either on our wall or on your own STOP RUNNING BACK TO YOUR MATES. I want a 1 on 1 fight with you - and everytime you've been credited with my death it's cos that pesky archer was sticking them in my back while we fought.

But - respect is due, you do annihalate our casters right in front of us.

One of the many may Albs hunting you down in the Battle Ground . . . .

Can you tell your realm mates to play fair please, I just came off BG 30-35 myself, I got nuked by a caster hiding in the bridge.

I stood there watching some cock jumping up and down by the water line slowly disapearing into the bridge, and I thought, wtf is he doing?

His name was Thucram, and he's lucky I'm a bit hard of understanding because I'd have taken the screenshots and he'd be banned my now If I wasn't.

ahem...I really hope that you mean another Jox (or someone who has a almost similiar name)

As a matter of fact..I have a Lv44-Champ who carries a "Glimmerspirit Sword" and a "Shadow Crystal Slicer".
However..this char is way to high for the bgs and I don't have ANY other char who could enter the bg.

ah well....prolly just a minor misunderstanding :)

Well sure Jox can kill them but he's dead the next second...

And about the bridge.. I don't know, never saw one do it when I was there.. post a screeny when you do.. Because everyone can say it without proofing.. If I meet him again I will tell him to stop doing that.

what is the glowing thing about?? I thought my ebony sunderer was supposed to glow, but it doesnt? Is it only when it procs? If so how can a level 35 have a glowing weapon.....less its some lowbie proc thing?

Some weapons glow, some does'nt .. It does'nt matter is it proc or not, it just glows. Does'nt matter which lvl the bearer is neither. Except for the proc of course in which the weap have to be weak oranger or yellow(that weak orange is when half-dings concerned).

As gorguss said:

The glows happen all the time, if you have a glowing weapon.

The procs only work if it's yellow or thereabouts.

So a bloke in a battleground with a flaming sword just makes himself a beacon for bolts :)

I have seen screenshots of US versions which show friars having glowing staffs, but have not yet come across any on excalibur. I want a lightsaber dammit!! maybe then I won't have to run off to SWG so soon :p

Bridge

About the bridge,

1. Its true , I was casting on ppl from under the bridge with some other ppl that i joined b4.

2.Im sorry for the bug abuse, but at the moment it was getting so funny that i didn't realise i was doing bug abuse.

3. Ill avoid bugs now so i won't get involoved in all of this, i think i learned my lesson.

4. To all the people that are having this problem of the bug I now think there is a way to disable the ones under the bridge by standing on the bridge and using AoE like the icerin of the Wizard.

5. To other ppl of BG, don't try out this bug yourself, you can get your account suspended for 24 hours , lucky i am on vacation ATM.

Lets hope this solves the problem...

There are two instances in which a weapon will glow, when you enter combat and when you cast a spell.

Just pressing F6 will make most weapons glow, but because casters rarely enter combat mode Mythic also introduced the spell clause as well. This means if you cast a spell your weapon should glow until you move, at which point it should stop. This means you'll never see an Armsman/Merc with a glowing weapon on his/her belt, but Clerics/Paladins can make their weapons glow without entering combat, the Paladin can even make weapons on their back glow ;)

The procs only work if it's yellow or thereabouts

The exception to this rule is epic quest weapons which can proc when orange

Here's an idea, get a large group of friends to run out to the BG and suicide on the bug abuser in question, one at a time so they don't just run, /release, port and repeat until the guy has realm rank 2, now he can't come back into the BG and you no longer have to worry about him :)

I'd say he's got a Twilight sword, most common glowing weapon in all of midgard. Might be a forged darksteel if it is a 1h sword tho.

Damn ;)

Maybe it includes OTDs, is that a OTD?

(Or maybe it's a level restriction, e.g. within one level rather than a purely con colour thing)

It's an OTD at 46 (yellow then) ;) Only one I know that procs when orange. Also the only dropped off-hand thruster with highest efficient DPS at 50 and it's only 15.3 dps :( Sanya explained proc-requisities on Herald about 1-2 months ago, something like some proc 2 levels before being "your level", some 1 level past your level, etc... Depends on the itemizer-people I guess.

You dont need screenshots, just report date, time, /loc and incident and GOA will hopefully look it up.

Screenshots can be faked you know. They arent real proof.
