hehe, just got this mail from JOLT about their free web hosting.


Jolt free webspace.

Please note that with effect from the 9th November jolt will discontinue
its free webspace scheme. This is as a result of abuse by certain users
and of course the prevailing economic conditions. From the 9th November
onwards web hosting via jolt will be based on the following:

Tier 1 -25 MB of space for £4.99 per month paid 3 months in advance, this
to include powered by jolt button on site. Max transfer 5Gig/month. PHP4
available.

Tier 2 - 50MB space for £9.99/month paid 3 months in advance. Max transfer
10 Gig/month, PHP4 and MySQL available.

Tier 3 – contact us if you wish to host your own domain name on our
servers.

By taking advantage of one of the above schemes your website will continue
to operate past the 9th November and the transition will be transparent to
you. If you do not wish to use one of the above offers please note your
webspace will be **deleted on 9th November**.


Watch everyone flock to Barrysworld now. Lets hope it doesn't slow the hosted servers down any worse.

This will most likely affect BW hosting quite a lot surely ? :(

I cant see half the people using Jolt Hosting to pay for it when they could get half the space for free from BW.

Although I dont think the Jolt situation will affect BW that much, alot of peeps went to Jolt/Jolt hosting when BW packed in cgi etc.

So not much point in coming back is there ?
