it s a fine server. midgard has a tough time but _all_ it needs is one commited guild to get it back to pride.

all i can say: if you want RvR on a balanced server with a great community pull the act of midgard excalibur together. you ll be the Heros bringing hope to a hard pressed realm.

How about booting some stupid Albs out FIRST Finster, so some RvR can actually happen!

You are the prime culprit for destroying any hope of RvR on Excaliber, by turning up with so many that you lag the whole battlefield out (it isn't even lag, it is perma-freeze), and nobody can actually FIGHT!

God that guy suxxx!

Still at least reality may be dawning on him, so Excaliber may be in with a chance at some point.

Just try doing anything in RvR, when you have over 150 tightly packed players coming at you (yes, over 150 - it has even been over 200). Your graphics lock up, you can't click on anything, and 1 frame per 10 secs is it if you are lucky. When it comes back you are dead. Good fun huh?

Call that RvR? They don't fight, they lag you to death.

Experience it, it is just like having your computer attacked with flood or ping programmes.

And you can't see how taking " a lot" of people to the battlefield messes up RvR?

If that is how Alb want to fight on Excaliber, they are welcome to the server - let them die of boredom for all I care. They already have an excellent track record of shooting themselves in the foot, so let them carry on until they succeed with the terminal shot.

Oh, and as for giving him a break, enough people warned him what the likely outcome would be (killing the server stone dead), but he wouldn't listen would he? Now he's bleating on here looking for people to go to Midgard on Excaliber fer chrisssakes??? Even if he can at last see the writing on the wall, the guy still suxxxx, because he is LYING to you by pretending that the server IS BALANCED!!! why blame the players for coming and doing exactly what Mythic planned for this game, Epic RvR with massive numbers

Its not players fault the Game has a memory leek
Its not players fault the 3D engine is fundamentally flawed in rendering stuff outside you LoS (stuff u cant even see is fully rednderd, go figure)

I cant understand your argument blaming one realm for killing RvR by bringing too many players out

Because it is definitely players fault when those facts are deliberately exploited or conveniently ignored.

Because kill the fun, you kill the game, you drive people elsewhere. You think it is fun trudging round in a mob of Albs being told go here go there follow him? Almost never getting to actually DO any RvR?? Why the hell you think I delete my character there?

Goodbye Excaliber. Hello Prydwen. If Prydwen displays the same stupidities, then goodbye GOA and hello American servers.

Also, I have a Vivid XS Kyro II chipset card that only renders what you can see. I have very few problems compared to other people.

Most of them have level 50 chars and their servers run at capacity, what do you think they do with their time?

They will most likely be in Frontiers RvR'ing en mass.

It will be worse in US

anyway why dont you use /effects self and turn names off and take off your emblem cloak, all 3 will help reduce lag, as well as dropping a notch in resolution when you go to RvR.

Leveling is part of the game, and doesn't have to take that long once you have done it a couple of times.

You think I haven't tried all of those things? Turn effects off and you can't see mezzes which is counter efective anyways.

Friends have characters on US servers and most do not get these levels of problems. Perhaps they just display a little more common sense there, I dunno.

Mid/excal is more than fine, we got 2 relics back, and all ive seen today is us stomping albs and hibs left, and right!
We had alot of 50th lvl dropouts but belive me we got an alliance with ALOT of people just starting to ding 50 and there is alot more to come!
So before you cry wolf, watchout the wolf isnt midgard, and bites ya all on the ass!

I have some low-level chars on Hib/Ex, but I 'might' join Mid to try out a Thane and SB

Thane is boring to play. Id advise you to make a skald as its less frustrateing than plodding about on the battlefield at 0.1 miles an hour. You also get a faster rejuvenation than thane for soloing and are much better at running kill tasks. You are also more important to groups as a skald with your dmg chant add, rest chant and speed. The Storm Calling spec is "ok" but isnt really all that. Dont expect to kill players with it. Best use seems to be in defense of forts. Im sure some will argue differently but thats my view on it.
