Java question

Ive d/loaded the JDK and unzipped it into D:\java but does anyone know what commands I should add to my autoexec to point to it ???

I know its the PATH command but can someone in the know give me some pointers pls. (Im new to java, but it looks like C so Im hoping to pick it up)

any help appreciated.

You'll want to set a CLASSPATH var too, and it's probably worth making sure you put "." in as one of the paths so that it can find classes in the current directory.

Ummm .. think that's it.

Java is quite like C++ so you shouldn't have too much trouble.

heh point taken but I think I think the help forum was all about DUN settings and stuff.

But since Im here now, can u tell me in nice easy steps how to do this eg. the exact command lines I should add as Im a bit dim with dos. (Miggy man see)

Again any help gratefully accepted.
