My pc gave me the blue screen of death 0x000000ED (means the registry is a bit f00ked from the look of google).

I ran RegCure and found 500 errors, cleared/cleaned them and i could boot windows *yaay*.

Went onto google video and everythings fine, went onto youtube and it says "Your Java may be switched off, or you need flash player".

Downloaded both, but noticed it said "you already have these fool." So I went into Internet Options, set it to Default Normal, and it still wont work :(

I tried Custom Level and pretty much enabled everything, still wont work.

Tried un-installing it, but i get a message on Add/Remove saying "Java is already installed"...I KNOW! i wanna remove it but the poxy thing wont allow me to :-(

Can anyone help?

You could run regedit, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software

and find

\Macromedia\Flashplayer
\Java

Export the Keys for Backup then delete the keys and re-install the apps.

U mess with the reg ar ur own risk!

Haha I change my underwear anytime I go to that place!

When i export the keys, do i just do that to enable the delete? or do i actually want to export them somewhere?

Also can i just delete them without export?

Edit:- Found this, think it may be what you meant? http://www.java.com/en/download/help/uninstall_msvm.xml

Yeah you can just delete them, the reason you would export them (to a file) is so that you can restore them if things screwed up to bad.

Its kinda what I mean, but i don't know exactly what java components are required for what so tread carefully with that one and definatly export the key first. (it only takes a few mins just name it "java" and save it to my docs)

Do the flashplayer one first, the worst that could happen is you break stuff even more, but i have done this many many times and never had to much trouble, although it's always a risk.

/EDIT The link you provided shows Java VM this may not be the components you want, looks for other keys for Java.

Thanks Mojo

It seems im probably after the Java JRE files but i'll try flash first.

Just to confirm one last thing about exporting. If I need to import, do i have to put it exactly where i got it from? Or do you just say "Import" and it sorts it for you?

To import a reg file you just right click the file and select merge and confrim the merge when prompted. If you open the reg file with notepad you will see all the respective entries with where they came from so yes based on that it knows where to put stuff back.

Downloaded a Flash un-install program (its on their website somewhere).

Could not run this as it was already running, so booted in safe mode and ran the program.

The re-install off the site took ages, waited about 3 minutes before the "Run Install" window appeared.

Everything fixed yaay
