Jam

Just got lent the DVD of Jam (Chris Morris's show) by a friend who positively wee'd himself laughing just describing to me the scenes, and I have to say "hrmm." Plain, unadulterated "hrmm". The humour's fairly sick, and that doesn't bother me really, it's not even gaspingly naughty its just a bit close to the knuckle, but I just don't get the majority of the humour.

A couple scenes had me chuckling, but mostly I sat and watch it in silence - interested, but not amused.

Has anyone else seen this programme? Is it comedy gold, or the depths of hell, or middle ground mediocre? It's thrown me a bit I must say.



Also, just made myself a hot chocolate with Baileys, and its like drinking a coma.

It's pretty good. Nowhere near as good as The Day Today and Brass Eye though.

I don't know. Some of the scenes make me feel like I'm plunged back into a white out from my days of old Clever filming and directing, but I want to spring clean my brain afterwards.

The bit where he robbed the place and weilded an axe on two seperate occasions slayed me, and the bit with the farmer who lives outside was fantastic, but the rest of it just is "hrmm".

Nngh. Blue Jam came long before TV's Jam.

And yes, this wasn't particularly funny, apart from some scenes ("Hmm... good weight.") but I don't think it was supposed to be. I think Mr Morris wanted to 'push the boundaries' of TV and do something weird that would never be particularly popular. I dunno.

Saw an episode of it about a week ago, some of it was quite funny but overall it was just strange and surreal.
