what was the deal with the tobacco sponsers at indy?? both the ferrari and the jordan were in their non tobacco name outfits, but bar and maclaren were in their normal outfit!

Oh please, you'd rather see F1 back on BBC? Formula 1 has *never* been as popular as it is now.. and you know why? Because ITV actually put some effort into promoting and providing decent coverage. The BBC just tucked it away in some shitty Grandstand slot.

I'm not defending all of ITV, in fact i'm sure the only time I ever watch ITV is when F1 is on, the rest of the output is populist pap. But I do believe coverage *is* better on ITV (besides, the ad breaks mean I can run off to the bog or make a cuppa!).
