Right so demo's of both fifa 09 and pes 09 are available, fifa has been on sale for a week.

Opinions? Has fifa retained the crown it stole last year or has pro returned to form?

couple of lads on irc have switched legions and joined the fiffa crowd based on the demo and abysmal pes2008.

not got round to trying either me self. hope to fuck pes is not as laggy as shit on both 360 and ps3

fifa seems so much smoother, but I cannot get used to the gameplay of it. The graphics seem better and the shooting more realistic on it. PES feels just like 8 tbh, does not seem any different.....

I have Fifa 09 and i am trading it in for the PES9 this Friday, for me Fifa 09 is TERRIBLE.

Seriously how rubbish are the keepers? lob the keeper and you will score every time failing that if you a top striker like Torres you will score ALMOST every time you hit the ball.

Why do strikers/wingers run at 60mph while the defenders are left for dust? even if my defender is a few yards in front the striker/winger will some how switch on the turbo beat me to the ball and go on to score.

People go on about 10v10 be a pro but it isn't that great just because of the sheer amount of dick heads who play it, nobody passes they all try and dribble around 10 players to score even if they are the centre back.

I have pretty much played PES6 up to this day and will continue to do so until Friday, it is the best football game out for me at the moment.

If PES9 online is laggy again then i will either go back to PES6 or just give up on football games completely.

Played the PES9 demo and i really enjoyed around 10 matches on it if the online is lag free that is the football game i will be playing.

FIFA09 sucks the big one.

If anyone still plays PES6 and wants a match preferably with none super teams then add my tagg Maca07166 on LIVE.

Funny i almost did this thread myself yesterday but didn't have time lol.

Having played the Fifa 09 Demo on my mates PS3 i didn't think it much different to 08. Still felt slow and unresponsive. Played the PES 09 demo last night and although they have slowed it down a bit it just feels so much better.

Guy at work the other day told me you need to pay to play fifa online!!!!! that can't be true surely?

For me i think it will be PES next Friday.

you only need to pay to use the Adidas LIVE season which updates players stats every week based on their performance.

However i started that Become a Legend and have been hooked since i think it's brilliant and going online with that character you are slowly building up and linking up with 3 other guys is fantastic.

I bought Saints Row 2 the same day and i haven't even unwrapped it yet!

09 plays how 08 should have. I could not get into the new fifa at all, something about it just felt... wrong.

I mainly play pro with other people and thats where it excels, fifa just bores us

Well, I am going to be buying fifa 09. After having tried both a few times now, I am much more impressed with FIFA.

Will still play pro though.

Also there is a free data update for pro available on LIVE.
