England is GMT which is CET-1 if I'm not entierly wasted....

Actually, right now England is BST, which is CET, but CEST-1 and GMT+1.

Generally I think people ignore that whole summertime thing when talking about the time since pretty much everyone in the northern hemisphere puts their clocks forwards and back at the same time and by the same amount.
