you ever tried EQ2? i resubbed a few weeks ago and i cant say i have an itch for playing anything else atm. the game is incredibly fun now.

aye, i'm having more fun then ever, almost as fun as i had when i first started DaoC. found a guild thats taking me through all kinds of dungeons, heritage quests and even invited me to a raid to do a few raid mobs. sure those mobs werent 80, but they all could mentor down to the mobs level (reversed sidekick in CoX) so it was still very much a challenge

and the best part is that even if you are the only "low level" in a full group of 80's, they can ALL mentor down to you, they dont use that crap CoX has that restrict to only one per lowbie.

and more often then not ppl will be happy to help, because theres always some mob where u wanna go that grants achievement xp that ppl have missed.

thats not possible anymore. they gave everyone a crouch skill that make others runthrough, tho its not adviced to use it in combat tho, as you move fucking slow and get a -100% defense and resist debuff when you use it.

I have an unopened age of conan box so I might give it a whirl for a month or so.

I dunno - I guess I really wanted to like warhammer and I probably expected too much from it, this is why I'm a bit dissappointed in it.

I'm subbed thru to July I think so I'll see if 1.3 addresses my concerns.

Not touching Aoin as can't find my barge pole. Looking out for Jumpgate but not much else atm. WAR 1.3 is looking very very sweet but can't tell for sure until they are done tweaking and its all finalised.

I have found myself back in Lord of the Rings Online.

I tried EQ2 again, but everyone is top level there, and they have changed the XP path so when you reach near top level, you suddenly find out you are veyr short of AA points.

thats why you can mentor ppl to do dungeons you missed and stuff. and they only changed combat XP, and for the reason so ppl could farm up AA's better without having to disable combat xp gain.

so no problem to mentor a lvl 70+ down to lvl 20 for example and do those dungeons for the named mobs AA. obviously need a lvl 20 target to mentor down to tho

and GU52 that release next week will have even more quests 60+ to get AA from.

how many AA's u got and what level are you? have to remember that you can only get 200 AA's atm, and that having 80:ish at 70 is pretty decent, tho 100 is recomended but certainly not a must have.

just grab yourself a decent sized guild and see if theres any altoholic there (pretty sure all guilds have those) and start doing lowbie dungeons and you will get AA's fast.

but with the new quests comming soon there wont really be a need for that anymore unless you want AA's even faster

Nobody knows - it's not really here yet!

Since I rerolled to riftbot and started joining destro bomb groups I've had alot of fun. The game has flaws though. The whole end game just doesn't work very well and the net result of server merge after server merge just results in people being unable to access fort seiges/defences due to population cap issues.

The new lotd zone will have a pop cap as well and I fear that this will mean again that people are excluded from the new content that they've worked for because they're too slow getting into the zone once they've unlocked it.

All in all - it's a bit disappointing.

I'm hoping that Mythic get it right in the next month or so, failing that, well there's always the next big thing to play - god knows what it is though.

well, had a run in there today when it opened up. and i'm utterly dissapointed. theres just a load of PQ's and a few FFA dungeons.


its nothing like darkness falls so not even the DAoC ppl will like it. its just one huge open zone, some pq's and a few dungeons.

the only thing remotely fun in there was to kick out Order.
