Can you English not ever let a World Cup pass without going on about 1966?

This is the first time in a long time Scotland haven't qualified.

Back to the subject, I was impressed this year, we ran a book at work on "How long before the commentors mention 1966?" and it got to halfway through the 2nd half of the 1st match.

We're not going to win the World Cup because a similar pattern of trends that teams are following. If (and that's an ENORMOUS if given how shit we've been playing on the whole) by any chance we do end up at the final, and somehow lifting the cup, it will have nothing to do with events that happened 36 years ago.

Hardly, there was no precedent for England winning the World Cup in '66, therefore no co-incidental facts.

;)

There was a clear pattern throughout the world cup winners since 1966 which suggested that England would win it 4 years ago... that one went a bit wrong :)

Hmmmm. Can't see it though. Chaos theory states that "the one undisputable and completely predictable fact is that England will do sh1t in the World Cup" :)

Pessomism is a term used by optimists, to describe normal people :)

That doesn't mean that England won't thrash Brazil, and go on to win the cup convincingly though!!11 :)

Just telling them like they are. No point getting all lively-happy-hopeful about something that actually doesn't matter in the slightest, only to be upset and disappointed after. Nowt wrong with Librans either, they're loving, caring people. ;)

That would explain it then. Virgos are well known to be cunts. Fat, jobless cunts.

//edit: I retract this statement as appear you share the same birthday (22nd) as my best friend, who is lovely. You're still a cunt though. :D

That just insinuates to me that England can only win it when all the good teams have been knocked out.

The last time Brazil Won the world Cup was 1994, before that it was 1970.

1994 + 1970 = 3964

The last time Argentina won the World Cup was 1986, before that it was
1978.

1986 + 1978 = 3964

The last time Germany won the World Cup was 1990, before that it was 1974.

1990 + 1974 = 3964

Therefore to reveal who the winners of the 2002 is simple, Subtract 2002 from 3964....

2002 - 3964 = 1962

In 1962 the World Cup was held in Chile the competition was won by Brazil

Therefore it is a mathematical certainty that England will lose to Brazil.

See, I can do it too - f34r!
