Has chance to go off whenever you attack with your shield, works in pve aswell.

it's reactive procs that only work in RvR. this looks like a normal one, and will thus go off when you attack (or has a chance to go off, at least)

It will only go off when you attack someone with the shield, ie slam someone.

On the positive side though is that atleast it seems to me that this kind off procs on shields seem to proc alot more then procs on weapons... I might be completely wrong here, its just a feeling i got after using one of the large shields from tuscaran with a similiar proc on it.

That was testing by the devs and proved to be untrue hrorvaig although we all know how much some of the devs know about how things actually work in practice.

That shield only goes off when you slam and its a prick for breaking cc, The reactives you can put on shields go off when you block and they fire in pvp and pve

reactives DO NOT work in pve

the only thing that works is abla on armor, nothing on shields

Reactive proccs on the shields do not go off in PvE but works when you block/slam in RvR/Duels.

The proc listed in the first post is an offensive proc, that is no reactive effect whatsoever.

However, reactive procs work on shields, but only in realm vs realm combat (and duels etc). If you choose this type of proc they won't proc with styles.
