Hey again.

After a grp of ppls found out that the focus shield is enough,
they camp him all the time.I really don't care if 1 named mob aint there on a FFA day.

What you get from Isso, is 1-2 respecs,and 1-2 weapons.
That's what i got the last weekend..killed him twice like that.

So if the FFA's dont like it, please skip Isso, and move along.

I really don't care if he's there or not, I just don't like having the dungeon repop and killing the 40+ people on the raid.

And we've known people can farm him with 1 summoning sm for months and months now, don't know why no one did it before the patch.

Focus groups are killing Hib, at least on Excalibur.

I recently discovered the joys of an Animist + tanks group.

Talk about fun, its complete chaos, a complete hoot, and damned good xp.

I havent borthed to level another char to level 50 because there are really any groups without it being a group where is:

Buff underhill
Send in Underhill
Heal Underhill
nuke the mob to death
heal underhill and go again

oh and remember to have a mana menta or a bard on perma power.

Its just simply boring ... not fun for tanks lovers like me.

MUHAHAHAHAHA(TM).

I had the luck of being grouped with someone who has a lvl50 animist and got some good advice. So I went at it with usual gusto.

Try this:

1 arb spec animist. 2 would be better, but never had this.
1 Ranger (Yes a ranger. You know, those guys with bows).
1 Druid
1 Bard or Mana Ment or both if you can.

3 tanks. Any tanks. Doesn't matter. NS are fine too. If you have a warden stop him casting BT on pets. Use the animist damage shield as much as possible.

Another nuker is fine, but if you got 2nd animist you don't need.

You need a spawn ideally where you can set up shop a reasonable distance from the mobs. Animist pets are psychotic. They attack anything that gets in range. So you have to be careful where you plant them. Thats where the ranger comes in. They have the range to pull a long way off safely and get back to the mushroom factory.

The animist(s) lay down tangler pets as well as nukers. The odd health regen doesn't hurt either. Use the lowest level tangler you can, they don't need to root mobs for long, just hinder them. Saves a lot of power too.

As the mobs charge after the hunter, they get tangled. This gives the nuker shrooms time to get agro, and even if they can't get agro completely, the tanks are there to do the job.

Tanks pull the mobs in.

Then you ae nuke them to death.

The chaos starts as apart from your main pet, the other pets only last 2 mins. So if a pet has agro and its timer expires... someone in the group at random gets agro.

If you can handle it, this is an absolute scream and a so fun way to xp. Practice on some single mobs then either move to baf or have the ranger pull 3-4 at a time.

After doing this a few times I decided that whoever at Mythic thought up animists is a genius. The class is utterly different from anything I've ever played and gives you a chance to bring back the classic tank group as a viable means to xp as opposed to focus groups in Hib. No focus, no CC, chaotic fun for those that can handle it.

Oh one last thing: make sure the Ranger brings enough arrows

Don't know how far I'll take my animist. My druid took a year to level to 50 as I don't go to Hib all the time.

I won't be doing focus with it though.

don't you think it's a bit egoistic to go kill issorden on FFA days?

that's 2 days out of 7 where people that can't get organised properly raid tg, leaving 3*5 (8hour repop, correct me if im wrong) times you can farm issorden without having the entire dungeon popping in the middle of a ffa raid.

Never work with animals or children... on the other hand, a cooking pot cures all tantrums

Regarding the Hib thing... Grommy used to play Mid before turning traitor and heading off to the golf courses so while not exactly on-topic, since the subject came up I posted a fun way to get good xp there.

And anyway, DAoC Mage/Pet classes are kinda my thing, if people haven't figured it out yet
