Sounds like 512kbps is the fastest speed in your area, and yea, thats 512kbps in real terms. Not so sure as to the max download speed, 60 sounds about right I would guess though.

I'm on the 18.99 one i think Dudley, think its just a bit faster at peak times, although I'm not really sure - only ever been on this package.

Its option #2 on this list. I'm getting 2mb in my area, some will beable to get 8mb though I think, depends where you live as to what speed you can get from what I hear. With that package and a 2mb connection I get 30 (or less) ping on CS:S mostly, and have seen dl speeds of up to 150/200kbps, depending on who it is I'm dl'ing from.

60 kbps is the max I can get? :( I've tried on other websites and its been higher. May aswell stick with shitty orange now..

I honestly dont know - I thought it was limited by your connection, best read up on the subject, I've never been on 512 so cant comment on the maximum speeds, perhaps someone who'se more of an expert of the subject can set you straight on that :)
