To answer your question, no.

And do tell, what makes it a useless post compared to 99% of what is on these boards? The article was an editorial that had some interesting points (imho of course) - so I put it up as a point of discussion. Can't see why you would flame me for putting it up there - unless it touched a nerve?

Do I agree with the article? Not particularly - I think it draws on the stereotypical "elitist" guild. I think it is a few individual players rather than entire guilds who show an "elitist" attitude (which in my book means arrogant and ignorant to other players' right to enjoy the game as they wish) . The reverse of that is that there are individual players who out of jealousy label guilds "elitist" just because those guilds have more hardcore rvr players, or don't accept random players as members.

Bottom line is no one has the right to tell another player how to play. There are some individuals who could do with remembering that on both sides of the fence.

So for next time Dyss, perhaps you'd recommend a suitable "useful" thread to start - perhaps (to draw inspiration from one of your realmmates) something like "BF sucks alot" is more what you're looking for?

Well LATE last night I was playing a friends minstrel. There was only one full group of albs at the portal keep left and about 2 FG of hibbies roaming the amg area. Jumping someone twice and getting run over by the 2fg. I decided to wait at pk till the group moved out to get past AMG. About 30 secs later I get the following PM: "We dont need leachers, K thx."

1) Leaching in RvR uhm ok ... Somewhat different with stealthers if you see they are ok in a one on one you dont jump in but thats just being pollite.
2)Assuming one could leach in RvR how many precious realmpoints would a solo minstrel "steal" from a full group.
3) An hour later there was a stealth battle at MPK and the full group rushed in walsed over and killed. Pot kettle black ?

It is this kind of elitist attitude that is responsible for albion having been without rellics so long. People need to get it through to their puny little brain that RvR actualy stands for Realm Vs Realm. You don't OWN the frontier zones its free for all. If you are fighting and someone else jumps in on it GET OVER IT. Other realms players are not mob's that you have claimed a camp spot first at. So yes I agree 100% with the article. RvR guilds are good they gather players who are interested in RvR under the same roof so they usualy get good at it. The self inflated egos and the feeling that they are better then everybody and can claim frontier zones for their personal use is BAD but thats not the fault of the guild but of some egocentric individuals.
