I've bought both Battlefield 1942 and Road To Rome and been playing on varius servers for some time, until suddenly today I try to log on and get the "Invalid CD Key" message. So have my computer been hacked and the key stolen or what?

Unfortunately you do get the odd sales assistant 'making a note' of the CD Keys before they are sold so he can give them to his friends. I doubt however this was the case with u :D

I doubt your PC was hacked and the key stolen either, there's not much call for these 'l33t haxx0rs' to hack just for a BF key.

More than likely when leaving one server and joining a new one, you did it slightly too quick, and the old server hasn't cleared you off its 'list' yet. Which would give the CD Key in Use message, as the master server still has you on the old one.

If you are worried about it at all, you can contact EA Support and they'll send you a new one and deactivate the old one. You'll need to supply a scanned image of the back of your manual tho.

Hope this helps.

Oops my bad, I'm tired, and perhaps should have read it properly :D

Aye invalid CD is different. Like the man Clown says, try reinstalling BF.

Thanks for the help. I'll try to reinstall the game and see if that helps. My CD-ROM drive has just giving up life so it may be a while before I can do it though
