I am sitting bled bridge , with some mids waiting a friend zerker for some duels.A scout named Gib comes and he is getting killed by mids and... look the screenshot.
So is this against CoC?i thaught till now that i have the right of not killing or killing someone

Just another CoC preacher, wouldn't worry yourself over it, prob wanted you to attack em, so he could add and get some precious rp's or so.

Meet a enemy ingame that seems to want a duel and you duel him is not against CoC

or atleast that is what i can get from those lines in that friday news

but i can say if i decide not to kill/engage the choice is mine not some other player

sometimes you talk to someone on IRC and you want to have a duel. Not to farm RP, but just to see if you can beat that person, and maybe fraps it for video or summin. I really cant see anything to bad about this. Im still unsure why there is this no duel policy tbh, it must be a hard to enforce, having to remind your customers they cannot arrange a 1v1 fight with an enemy. I just cant see why its bad. but then again you always have idiots who will exploit things, so maybe its a good policy. I guess you just have to be sensible in your approach??

IF you werent, then why did you say you where dueling?
was it just a coincidense that u met these 2 mids and they automatically understood you wanted duel them?

If i'm not wrong, and i'm usually , dueling is only against CoC if the result of the duel is predecided (sp?).
I really cant see the problem in some pple really dueling one each other in equal terms.

I agree following the CoC is right, but slight bending the rules on harmless things is ok, not like its a huge bug being expoilted(sp?).

It was a bloody idiotic thing to attack a zerker ( I think he was zerker?) but i went for him anyway hoping that he sitting down was gonna give me the extra dam i would need to bring him down, but ofc it wasnt...

even if you don't kill them arranging duels over IRC is cross-realming and against the CoC...

whether you'll get hunted down and punished for it or not who knows (as opposed to say farming your second account on the other realm for RP which will get you a swift ban I imagine)

Incidentally if you find someone out there dueling (even the "harmless" no-RP trading type) feel free to bust in and kill their little friends totally within your rights to do that.

how can a firm like Goa / mythic determine that this was done with HARMLEss intentions?

do you think they have spies in every IRC-box?
do you think that they have got time to trace all ppl's activeties?

No they have put out a set off rules which would make it possible for them to have a base to uphold.

If you deceide to do something which in your own vision is HARMLESS... and you violate those rules... it is harFULL to the game and other ppl may see that activety and do the same, leading the game to a sudden-death

so conclusion: NO YOU CAN NOT DUEL , even to test your skills, you can duel in your own ealm to test those things.. which has been added so you could test as long as yo can.. but yet again.. this seems not to suffice for kiddos who YET AGAIN have to move the margin of rules a couple off inches away from it's original concept..
