The same thing actually happened to me when I was with guild.

We'd just been out getting encounter credit for Cyclop's Eye shield, and I needed Damyon's Journal 3 of 3.

On our way back to Aerus haven, we get aggro from some cyclops. I tell them to drop the fucking scroll.

First mob dies, drops Damyon's Journal 3o3. I rejoice.

Second mob dies, drops Damyon's Journal 3o3. I say: wtf?

Like, ever wondered why linkdeads come at the most unpleasant times?.. Or when you really want an item badly, and you do /random 100 with few others, and you get 1 ? Or when a raid goes perfect, but the final mob is suddenly bugged?
