i remember when i played AoE when it first came out that the key seemed to be advancing to iron age quick (in bout 15 mins if i remember correctly) - once you managed this you were well set to employ ya strategy.

more and more im thinking wc3 is just the same. as fast as i go, the AI seems to have more units / advancements than me.

is there like an almost standard procedure when 1st starting a match like 1 wisp build ancient of war, 4 goldmining, start another 5 wisps training, first 2 trained goto wood, next build moonpool, and so on and so on.........

i've tried this but the AI still always seems to be there quicker

poo :(

Computers cheat but you have the physical edge.

Threaten your monitor with a large piece of wood, or even worse tell it that you'll upgrade it to a newer model unless it stops cheating and lets you win.

They're cheeky bastards but they're suckers for the old "be nice and I'll buy you a new stick of ram". Also giving it a clean and tidying up the hard drive tends to put it in a good mood.

Just don't turn your back on it for a second or it'll fook up all your games.

Hope this helps!
