Is my gfx card saying goodbye?

For no reason my gfx card (i think that the gfx card is the problem..) started to feck up badly in daoc and every other game, even some icons in windows are not showing properly. Also see lots of weird dots and shit when i boot up the comp.

The weird thing is that this just happened over one night :S Ive even reinstalled windows, but soon to figure that the new drivers would only turn my screen off.. looked up an old cd with old drivers, they do work but still gfx bugs.. cursor also have something weird under it that i cant describe, and cant take screenshot of ;p

Is there anyway to fix this or should i just wait until it dies completely and buy a new card? :/ If u need more info about pc ill post if needed (tell meh!)

mine was doing that, think it turned out to be overheating ... tried cleaning the card/fan ? Managed to pull out a large handful of fluff from this tiny fan when I took my card out

Dust off gfx fan - try a more powerfull psu before you conclude your gfx is dying

the psu has been working together with this system for about 2,5 years now i think, not been unstable so far.. you saying that there is a chance the psu is "getting weaker"? ;p so green in this area, any programs i can run tests with or something to find hardware failures/errors?

if you see small dots a little everywhere and gfx fails both in windows and games it is the gfx card getting overheated. i've had that beforea nd it aintfun. Another sign is that the game crashes due to overheating.

my gf3 started doing this before I realised the fan on the graphics card was loose, but by then it was too late and it was fried
