Is my DSL up 2 speed?

For ages I suffered the horror of 56K, quite frankly I nearly came when I finally got ADSL

I dont know anybody with it & it seems like my pings R 2 high.I
use BTopenworld 500.

It ROCKS when browsing & D/lding (bwidth =667Kb/S) but q3a seem jumpy (specially after d/loading 1.30).Pings 50+ ,the top of my ngraph is blue the bottom has regular red spikes

Wot should B in my Cfg?

Anybody else using ADSL & has sorted the settings out, let me know.

Mate...the only reason I got it is that I live extreamly close to a government defence research agency...and they hassled BT 4 it

The down side is that my town is a primary strike target in the event of thermonuclear war :firedevil

Regular spikes

I had that with BT openworld for a while. I think I reinstalled Q3 and everything/ mods etc and that fixed it. BT pissed me off so much in the end I swopped to cable which imho is much better /stabler. Still with that bandwidth you can share and still get pings sub 40 . Anything above that and I would be banging on their door.

a re-install could be a good idea ..... ideally the OS needs to go as well ... but i will start with quake....

Gutted about cable tho ... loads of people tell me it beats the pants offa DSL for stability ... but seeing as I cant get it I will have to go with ADSL
