is it worth installing yet?

Bought it when it came out but haven't had time to install it yet.

Questions:

1) I can hear a lot of moans about this being a paid-for beta.... furry nuff - are the patches coming often enough for me to wait a week or two before getting my "free" month??

2) erm.. frankly - I really only want an answer to 1

Depends how badly you want to play it.

I want to get my char up and running so im gunna install it soo as i get it (thurday). not sure how long it will take before the game is stable and it will be ages before all the content is implemented.

It is true that this is still in a state of unfinishedness (wtf?) but almost everyone who plays will tell you theyre having fun.

To be honest it is worth installing it now since, as Custy points out, you will need to spend quite a bit of time building your character up.

I only played three days of the beta, and then the game wouldn’t suddenly play any more. But anyhow I still bought the game yesterday, and now it plays perfectly. Most of the irritating bugs from the beta have been removed too. And in a few hours I had mined enough for my second ship.
