IE do LPBs rule the game? Or can us HPBs still get some good fun out of it!

Whats the netcode like?

Cheers

T2 is more HPB friendly than most FPS games due to the fact that you can take a defensive alomst non-combatant role defending and repairing the base.

The netcode is good considering the information its shifting around. If you jump on a 60 player server on your lowly 56k modem you will certainly lag out a lot.

Just stick to the servers with 34 or so players on and you should get along good.

T2 is an awesome game.

Its the only game I currently have installed on my H/D.

BUY IT!!!

Hi :)

Speaking as an ISDNer, I can say that there are no shortage of modem players who are getting a lot of quality gamage out of T2 with their mad 56k analogue skills.

It seems to me that the netcode in T2 is very well done, and the advantages of cable v modem (a la Quake etc) seem to be far less noticable.

I have played (on bad connex) with a 200+ ping on some nasty foreign servers and have still had a fairly decent game, so I would imagine that the same would hold good for modemers too.

Come on modemers, how do you fare ? :)

With a modem youll probably want to avoid light armour roles.

Deployer, Heavy offence, Heavy Defence, Bomber crew and Tank Cew are probably the best roles for HPB's.

You can get away with being a capper on some levels with a high ping.

Light class weapons usually require more accuracy as your moving about faster so reactions matter more. Obviously you need a low ping to be an effective sniper also.

I think it depends how seriously you want to play the game. At top clan level, there are only a very fwe modem players around, but for most it's fine.

I play as a capper on a modem, lagging to hell and back on BT but still compete well against those on better connections.

There is no excuse for not buying T2 :D

Aye, PC is far more important than net connection when it comes to T2 :)
