Is it possible

To put pictures on a CD (taken with a digital camera) and play them on a DVD player? Someone told me it was once, though I haven't worked out how to do it.

Anyone know if it's possible or if someone is lying?

There's two ways you can do it:

1. Get a program (widely available WITH digital cameras) that will turn your pics into a VCD presentation. It'll display them for a certain amount of time and even let you put music on etc.

2. Check if your DVD player is JPG compatible. If it is, you simply copy the pics onto the CD and whack it into the DVD player.

Do you know what programs are available for download that will turn them into a VCD presentation?

This place is aimed at video but I'm sure some of the apps used will also do a photo presentation to dvd.
