Is it possible to embed flash sigs?

I have been trying to work out code for ages, to embed flash (swf file)in these damn none HTML forums.

Anyone got any idea, of any code that would work. Or is it damn impossible

You might of gotten a better answer posting on the webdev forum, but I think it's impossible.

and anyway, flash takes forever to load :D

Afaik, all sig images/garish flash productions are disabled in these fair forums, thankfully.

Well i think it ruins the fun of forums, there should be a rule, you could make a detection script, to say if images or flash sigs are over a certain file size, then they will not be displayed... It would only take a few seconds for the script to run and determine whether to display the sigs or not....

And sigs, if small only take a few extra seconds to load anyway...

Even on 56K it doesnt take much longer on HTML enabled forum, go to Planet Renegades, there forums dont take that long......

But anyway thanks for your replies.... :)

Yes, but there are 25 per page, remember. BW's lack of clutter like sig images works wonders for readability, and we'd like to keep it that way. I don't see how sig's are so important anyway; the smaller the better.

I'm not even going to dignify that with a responce.

flash and shockwave take forever to load, aren't portable, and are proprietary formats that lock you into a single vendor.

Hey SAR, thats only cos that the only one i have uploaded at the minute.... I wanted to test to see if i could use it on this forum. That was only a 3 min put together job.

ENOUGH SAID..... I design in flash m8, so dont tell me how to suck eggs....
