Is it bad if you park in a supermarket car park and not shop there?
Is it bad if you take an apple from a tree to feed a homeless person?
Is it bad if you go to work in your own clothes, on chartiy dress down day, and not donate money?

WHO CARES? FUCK YOU.

WHO CARES? FUCK YOU.

1)there are shops in holland who sometimes reqiure you to be a patron or won't let you park in "their" carparks. How they enforce it is beyond me though.

2)yes. the lazy homeless bum should get the apple him/herself. I'm all about self-help. Unless the vagrant has no legs, then they should be allowed to wait near the tree untill the apple falls of it's own accord.

3)no. I pay lots of dosh to a fund called "the tax man", and he takes care of my immediate surroundings for me and all the people in Holland. So indirectly I'm helping every single dutch charity. Also, personally I'm a member of Amnesty and I donated a sum to the tsunami disaster thing here in holland because I used to live in one of the areas hit and I felt directly affected. A few days ago I saw a documentary which informed me that the fund has spent 30 million odd euros AND THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE LIVING IN TENTS. that they have *not* spent 150 million euros EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE LIVING IN TENTS. Sweet baby jebus what the hell is going on?

Yes, they do indeed, and far less than houses do, But you should have seen it Tohto! The fund itself admitted they were screwing up! It's shamefull really. I'm not going to pardon them because they mean well, I'm going to condem them because they're doing an extremely shoddy job of helping people!

They admitted on public telly that they had *no experience* on large scale building projects! None! When the documentary maker offered "you don't know what you're doing" the answer was "we prefer "gathering information as we go along"". When you have 200 million euros in your bank account you should know what the hell you're going to do with it!

Now this just pisses me off even though I know full well that the fund is staffed by experts in their fields, yes indeedy. I know that their job is extremely difficult, in difficult conditions with all kinds of things in the way, like culture clash, land rights, stubborn people who've just lost half their families, corrupt officials, etc, but they've had time! And you know what they've done, amongst other things? They've built an example house, as a template. It's all nice and tidy and painted and stuff. THree charities working together did it. Really cool and all, lots of press in there to see. And it sucks in indonesian weather sadly. It's a leaky shithole that's going to fall apart because it can't take the rainy season. Now please tell me that a staff of well-meaning experts can at least do enough research to make a house stand up. :(

The problem is NGOs are in love with supplying prefab buildings, rather than building materials.

In this picture, there is a special object. You may have seen it before, and others certainly, and so have I ... once.
See if *you* can find it.

"It's nearly Christmas", I thought to myself, "I should be happy".
But I'm not. I'm not excited. I'm not nervous. I can only feel the tension. Not the good kind of tension, like the kind you feel when you're about to beat Street Fighter with a character you never use. It's more of the bad kind. Like you know you've been naughty and you're just waiting for your parents to find out.

You can just feel it. Somewhere in there.

I got up calmly and backed away from my desk. A quick glance about confirms that the phones will be covered. No abandonded calls today! Breathe Andrew. Breathe. I needed some fresh air, but instead I found myself going down a few floors and walking around these unfamiliar corridors. Work sucks.

I open the door and step inside. God. Why do feel this way. Everyone else is so festive, yet I'm feeling shitty. Maybe even slightly paranoid. I sit down. I desparately try to cheer myself up. Nothing is working. I can feel the strain. I can feel the stress. I can hear my heart beating. No wait. It's footsteps. I hear someone gingerly walking into the room. I need to get out of here. I need to go home. I feel cornered. What if he sees me?

I stand up again.

"Press the button", I thought. Why not?

"GAH WHY IS IT MAKING THIS NOISE!"

I can feel my heart beating. I press the button again. Shit. It's not working.

Third time lucky? Shit. Fuck it. Who cares. I'm going. Fuck this place.

I open the door. I can see this guy looking at me. I didn't say a word. I can feel him looking at me out of the corner of his eye. I have my head down, I have to avoid eye contact. I look around. One last scout before I make my get-away. And then I leave. Silently.

I didn't even wash my hands.
